Still waiting on my screaming yellow GT ( trying to sit patiently ) My question is on that intake kit is it a problem that it stinks in Hot air is that a performance prob and could it harm the system??? Thanks..

Well quit farting in the engine compartment and it shouldn't be a problem

Fresh air passes thru the engine compartment, so once moving it will get cooler air. If it is hot out and you are sitting in traffic for a while, it MAY affect performance a bit because of the heat built up under the hood. Again, once you are moving this will go away.

The problem with air in the engine compartment is that it has to pass through the air conditioning condenser and the radiator before getting to the engine air intake.

Every 10 degree F increase in air temp causes a 1.09 % reduction in engine HP.
