Hey, it could be worse, my dealer told me my order was lost, when in fact he sold it right out from under me b/c I had x-plan and another guy would pay full price. They didn't even have the guts to tell me either, they just said it was lost. It took the guy who got me the x-plan to do some behind the scenes work to find out what really happened!

My 2005 GT was made in September around the 13th. The dealer was notified it was to arrive the week of 10/10. The week came and went. No car. As of today, no car. Calls to the factory, inquiries to customer service, etc. all show the car shipped to convoy now, but no delivery date. In fact, no one seems to know where the car really is to be located! One guy told us it was still in the parking lot at the plant. Excuse the whining, but this is not a good way for Ford to treat a customer. It has been my pleasure to have purchased many new Fords for over 30 years, including new Thunderbirds, an Escape and Explorer. So why can't the company deliver a car built over 6 weeks ago? It was in a "hold" you say.....well that depends on whom you talk to at Ford. Cars are being delivered that were ordered and built long after this one. I'm not going to run out and buy some other brand......this was just a fun acquisition to have an early new Mustang...........but I may well cancel my order at this point. My dealer, who has always been super, is just as disgusted as I am. Well, now I've blown off all this steam. I apologize for the whining, but Ford should apologize for some very sorry customer service.
i don't really understand why you think ford should apologize for "some very sorry customer service". What about the customer service has treated you wrongly? Just because the car has not shown up yet, has nothing to do with the customer service. It is a brand new car and it takes time to get cars to dealers/people. And just because people who ordered after you are getting theirs before you still has nothing to do with the customer service.
