Don't know if we're in the initial count but we're in as well.

Probably too pricey for me to jump in initially. I'd rather drop the money on a K&N filter right now. I may hop in later though. That'll be after the group buy, I'm sure.

Just a thought here, but why can't the cover show off the fingers of the manifold like on the gt?

I like it, but not as much as the GT style. The V6 one looks like a little box that just covers it up. It's cleaner than stock, but not quite the same coolness factor of the 8. I'm still flattered that we are getting one. If I'm smoking some cronic, than I'll stand down from the funk.

EDIT: Good examples of images to compare:
V6 No Cover
V6 W/ Cover
GT W/ Cover

If you open them all up in the same window, you can toggle them and get a good idea of what I'm talking about.

They could shave the sides at about the point where the edge bevels down. Then you'd just trim little openings like on the GT. IF you look at the GT version, it doesn't have a bevel, so it wouldn't look bad at all. There's already a notch cut for the hose and the wires going around the back. It would just scootch in some. Thoughts?

Can it be done?

I think it's because of the mess of wires sticking out the right side of the V6. The V8 does not have all that. So if the ribbed one side and not the other it would look strange. That or they are trying to hide the cylinders so you can't tell it's a six . I'm thinking it may look a little more complete with the wire box they are working on to cover that mess up as well. We'll have to wait a few more weeks to see I guess. Still looks nice than nothing.

I thought about showing the runners on the six, I even had one modeled up that way. It looked very dumb though because the V6 manifold is so narrow, it would have to be only maybe 5.5" wide instead of 11". This would have not allowed any room for graphics or emblems. The model did not look good so I gave up on that idea. Trust me you guys would not have liked it either.

We have a few fiberglass covers made up and they are just waiting for paint. We will have a few available very soon. Tooling for the production parts is underway and progressing well. Thanks for your patients.

I'm sure there was a reason behind it I still think it's better then the stock look. Wouldn't you say Stanger X?

words right out of my mouth.
But on the current mold couldn't you add some hips, so it isnt soo flat on the sides. It needs some shape there, not just flat down. Maybe making it look like some faux hips of runners that aren't really there.
I don't know, but it is a decent level above stock.

Runners or no runners showing, the Midwest part still looks about 10 million times better than stock to me. The factory treatment looks very unfinished. Pair the Midwest cover up with a cool (no pun intended) CAI setup, and this will look plenty sweet.

Do you have any shots of the one you molded up? I know it's most likely not supurb and all, but It would be cool to get an idea of what you're talking about. Somehow I don't see why it would look bad. It might just be me though. Dunno.

Maybe seeing is believing.

Has anyone come up with a strut tower bar that'll even fit the V-6 yet?

i recieved an update from midwest auto this morning they are a little behind schedule but are getting close and this is what they have stated also
We will be able to ship group buy covers as soon as the tooling is done, but we can go ahead and get a list of commited buyers together ahead of time.
The price still has not been worked out either. As soon as i get more info i will pass it on to you all!
