Midwest is missing some sales due to that decision. I wasn't close to being tempted to buy one of their engine covers--nice product, but just didn't seem do it to me. One look at Hireman's, though, and I put it on my mod "to do" list. Not sure why they wouldn't want to sell it for the reduced, unpainted cost? Especially when they are still getting recognition for manufacturing them. 
The reduced unpainted price plus Hireman's cost put the total at something I thought would be reasonable. Oh well, now I'm back to the won't be buying one mindset.

we have received your list for the group buy and we have silver covers molded, painted and pretty much ready to go. All silver will be first. Then the custom colors will follow. We will forward details to you in the next couple of days for everyone on the list to order their cover. We apoligize for the delay, you guys and gals have been more than patient with us.
