If he is willing to sell A-plan does He have to honor "Family and Friends" aka X-plan?

Participation in any plan, is voluntary....It seems strange that he's willing to do one over the other. Ford must offer a better kickback on A plan.

Well my wife and I both talked with AZX plan people. We got up the chain some and are now waiting on The Plan Administrator to call back. Most likely not a thing will come of this but complains filed. The three people we talk with today all called G-S-M overall tactics not wright at all. His crying about reimbursement dollars from Ford, is just a sales ploy and the fact that he says he can put whatever After Market he wants on an ordered vehicle and we must pay for them totally wrong. The fact that we were told, we will never get to talk to the General Manager Scott Reas, also unfair. The fact that we had no writen order does not help but, the fact that we do have a Vehicle Order Confirmation and Invoice with A-plan and wife's name helped get us up the ladder.

No guarantee but this could cause a possible Audit of the Dealership.

I also asked about the rumor of one A-plan per member to anyone. Was confirmed that there is really the possibly of this happening although no date set, information to employees is being readyed for mail.

It's all about his tactics now.

As for Ford Customer Service, they only took a report and will send to the Dealership Customer Relations Department. I thank them and add "Isn't that like just feeding me back to the Wolfves?"

Bruce,
Did you notice the ordering customer's name on the Window sticker...Coool, HUH?

Some dealers won't allow X or AZD plans on hot items because both are well below the market driven amount available for regular retail purchases. Also, "add-on" items must be of value and negotiated with the purchaser on those plans.

Regarding the alarm, think really long before fiddling with the active anti-theft that is available from the factory, it is pretty complete, and not much added value can exist with an after-market.

I'll be glad to order 2005 Mustangs for X, AZD, or retail, with minimal deposits (unless you're wanting something really GOOFY). Probably not much help since you're in WI and I'm in Houston, but just an offer. Good luck in whatever direction you choose.

I bought an SVT Focus form JD (b/c a good friend worked there at the time). Aside from him, the entire experience was deplorable. They tried to sell me options that came standard on the car. My friend left for ethical reasons. Everyone that I know that has had their car serviced there has horror stories. They may be one of the 3 largest dealers in the country, but they are somewhere I will never go.

Badsnke98 - Did you ever decide what you're going to do? Just hopin' you got your car!

Keep us informed, ok? And no, I never did receive a reply from Shamo - no surprise there.

What BS. They don't lose any money on any plan. They just make more money selling is MSRP or higher. What greedy jerks.

Just remember, for every 5+ slimey dealers there's at least one good one. You just gotta find that one.

If I was in this situation I would NEVER go back to this dealer and pay the $1100 just to get the car. The dealer was dishonest and unethical. By going back and paying the $1100 you would be enforcing or rewarding their business practices. Yeah you would have your car but you would also always have the knowledge that you LET a particularly rotten dealer stick it to you. I don't think the $1100 is the issue here. I think it is a matter of principle.

LOL @ dealerships crying about "not making any money" with X-plan sales... Did you know that they get a commission check from Ford about 30-60 days after the sale in order to reimburse them for the X-Plan discount? That info came straight from Ford HQ.

Even if the dealership sold you a car at straight dealer invoice, they are making money.

Wow... this thread has certainly been dusted off.

If anyone's wondering, Jerome Duncan Ford no longer exists. The dealership was run SO poorly, owing SO much money to Ford, that Ford no longer allowed the dealership to even order or receive vehicles. No dealerhips in the area would trade with them either.

Jerome Duncan Ford is now Suburban Ford... unfortunately, I don't know if that wonderful SM still works there or not... but it shows you what kind of operation they were running... pitiful.

From what others in the area have said, Suburban's new management is too new and is probably best to avoid them.

There have been a lot of positive reviews for Russ Milne, Mike Dorian, and Elder Ford. Russ Milne doesn't open on Saturdays (at all), and I never checked Elder Ford. Mike Dorian is open M-Sat though but they are a pretty small operation.

From what I have heard that G-S-M Paul Shamo was gone from the dealership a few months after my fiasco. I will never go Suburban because most of J-D personnel are still there.
