Thanks. I don't think I will ever "stripe" my car. Based on what I have seen/read, there are already too many of these cars with the LeMan's striping. Also, no rear window louvres or faux quarter window "vents". B)

Beautiful pictures guys (and gals) -

I won't get my 2005 GT until I return to the US in June, but I have yet to see any pictures of a car with the standard issue 17" rims that are coming on mine (pictured below). I kept the standard rims because I am going with 18" rims as soon as I get the car, but I would like to see what they look like in a "real life" picture, not from a magazine. Also, any tips/links to black, aftermarket rims (non-bullitt) would be much appreciated. I seem to be having a hard time finding them. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

I just love seeing the smiles and grins you new owners have. I can't wait to get mine. Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments. I asked my buddy, who is the GM of a Ford Store in KC to have the stripes made for me using the specs, including paint codes, for the 66 Hertz Shelby. They are vinyl and we had a little trouble with the application in the snow, but they came out great. You don't need a dealer to do it though. You can go to any good sign shop and have them made. Just get the specs from a Shelby site if you are using that pattern and give them to the sign shop. Then have a body shop apply them. they are a real pain to do yourself. The biggest difference is that they go to the bottom of the bumper and the factory ones don't. The driver that brought it down for me told me that he got questioned at every stop he made and people were taking pictures. the dealer told me that he was offered 3000 over list by three people before they got it on the trailer to come to me. Since he is an old friend, I know its true.

Stripes look great ! How wide are the stripes and how far apart are they?

[QUOTE=VintagMustang302,October 20, 2004, 7:18 PM] Here is the one I tested drived yesterday. It had the 5 speed automatic tranny in it. It rocked but, I'm waiting for a 5 speed and for the price to come way down. They wanted $28,800 For it it was a fully equiped GT. The only one in the Charleston area. Not mine but I test drove it. I will have one it's a matter of time hope you like the pics.

WHich dealership was that? I live in Charleston as well and am having a hard time finding any on lots plus I really want to see a windveil blue.
Thanks

Well, I ordered August 13th, and took delivery on November 18th.

Has anybody experienced any problems with their new 'Stangs? Recalls, ***** fallin off, rattling when accelerating, stuff like that? I'm worried being this is a totally new car. I've always said, "don't buy the first model year of ANY car," but now I've gone and broken my own rule! I couldn't wait!

Jim.

Well looks like I am stuck with bad weather and timing. Just got home from work so I thought I would take a pic. The sun just went down so the quality stinks. I will post more pics this weekend (if it is nice) after I install my exhaust system on Saturday.
