Besides, dude. Call Ford's Customer Service Center Line in MI & repost your crooked dealer if he won't budge. In fact if I were you and he refused to drop the price I would get out my cell & call them right in his office. I have had many dealers tell me in the past that they just didn't see how I had found one car here for lik 3k less than they could sell theirs. That's BS too. If one dealer can than they all can. Don't let them rip you off.

And like some have said. I would wait. No matter if you are moving in less than 2 years to NY. You must really want THIS car. Because IMO if you didn't then you whould have never ordered it. You would just drive you Mercedes C320. Again Just my opinion.

Cheers mates.

Moving in less than 2 years to NYC? Which I assumes mean you'll have to sell. I like the mustang a lot. Financially, it is a bad move to buy a new car for 2 years. You either have a lot of money to throw away, have a really high sense of value for your fun, or you should probably just stick with your beater (or whatever you have). You'll be throwing away like $20K, and I don't have that kind of money to waste. (Think taxes, financing, depreciation and opportunity costs of capital). At least if you keep a car for 6, 8 or 10 years you're spreading your loss over more time. (I plan on having mine a while).

That really stinks, but it is just a case of market economics. Supply and Demand affect price Elastic products (e.g. cars, holidays etc). If the price goes too high, demand falls, and so on. The dealers that engage in this type of pricing (termed Price Skimming in business speak) may find that a lack of customer loyalty and therfore goodwill will result.

I find all the talk of "Market Adjustments" and peoples reactions funny......When the Playstaion 2 came out, it was roughly 100% higher in price than it is now. It doesn't cost them any less to produce the console, they just knew that when they brought it out, people would pay top dollar for it! The same happens with any new product, from cars to electric toothbrushes.

Plantation Ford, getting mine at $100 above invoice, check em out, not more than 45 mins north of you, ~25 on the way home in a new stang
I doubt you'll find any Mustangs @ $100 over invoice at this point. Is that with a plan? Regardless, with dealers shooting this adjustment out there, today or tomorrow, they won't be giving this car away like this. Not logical-business wise that is. [/b][/quote]
maybe not, but i think i read about a dealer (sorry, can't remember where) that says they sell all of their cars for 300 over invoice. So chepp prices are possible. And there are a couple dealers in my area who are still offereing 500 aboice invoice.

But it's not the same! retail stores that sell PLaystations, all sell them for roughly the same price. and that price is roughly MSRP. Obviously after it's been out for some time the price does drop. That happens to cars too. but there doesn't need to be "market adjustments" for prices abouve MSRP, when there are plenty of dealers who sell for less than msrp.

There is always a fool willing to pay too much. Just wait, reality will set in soon enough and then I'll get mine.
