I ordered my black GT Premium the 1st day i could and told the salesman all the options i wanted. I got every possible option (including the shaker 100) on a Premium and then when i went home i began to go over the options i ordered...You can make a deluxe the exact identicle to a premium. This has never been the case before but with the 05 it is possible. With the GT Premium all you get extra is the shaker 500 and sport bucket seats. Now i was beginning to think i got ripped off because why would i get a premium (which comes with the shaker 500) if i was getting the shaker 1000. In a way i thought to my self wouldnt i be paying for the shaker 500 (in the premium) as well as the shaker 1000 (upgrade). So i was thinking that it would be alot cheaper if I got a deluxe with the shaker 1000 and optional sport bucket seats. So i called the salesman and told him my situation. He thought that it would be cheaper to get the premium because the upgrade from a shaker 500 to a shaker 1000 would cost less than upgrading from a regular sound system to a shaker 1000 on the deluxe - along with the optional sport buckets. So the salesman thinks that Ford took this into account (can make deluxe into premium) but he told me he would keep my premium order and write down a note on my order to run the numbers for deluxe with the options and see if I saved any. What do u guys think.. which one is cheaper?? and also do u guys think its a good idea to make a premium possible to deluxe buyers.. not even rim ugrades on premium or anything.

Oh my brain. Sorry, but that was very hard to read without paragraphs.
As for an answer. It's been said here a million times, pricing is not available. There is NO way to know until we have prices. Until then it's just speculation that's about as useful as having two left feet.

yea sorry about not breakin it up into paragraphs. Ill make this one real easy to
read... I know pricing is not available... if it was i wouldnt be posting this. I just
want thoughts and also if you do not care to speculate prices, what do you think
about the idea of having the premium possible for deluxe buyers. Before the 05,
as a premium buyer, you got many goodies unavailable to deluxe buyers. I
personally am a lil pissed that I'm not getting anything "special" :notnice:

Paragraphes and "Double Spaced" are two very different things. I see what you mean about the Deluxe vs Premium thing though. I'm curious about that myself, but like I said, it's anyone's guess as to which would be more expensive.

The dif between the Deluxe and premium is small on the 05. I went with deluxe simply because I prefer Cloth. It's my understanding upon looking at the order guide and various inside shots that the "Sport" buckets are identical except for the Leather seating surfaces. I then added the shaker 500.

Ya...until we get pricing, there is no real difference in Deluxe and Premium. Unless there some HUGE cost to ordering Shaker 500 as an option, I really don't feel the need for the leather seats.

You're all forgetting that the premium will come with the concept wheels.
All in all, the premium will get standard the upgraded seats, shaker 500, concept wheels. You can get all but the wheels on the deluxe version, but I bet they cost more. Also, like stated earlier, the shaker 1000 is not available to the deluxe.

Yes the bullitt wheels are standard but what I meant was that there are some options out there that are not available to the lower of the two models.
Those options are the upgraded wheels and the shaker 1000. These options are not available to the lower of the two models, only the top one.

OK, OK, OK.... I have now been "owned." :worship:
My new question is this, what the he\\ is the reason of having the two levels of GT???
If literally every option is available on either one, what is the reason for having two levels? This is so stupid.

I'd assume its because they're packaging the most common add-ons into the premium to save the hassle of tacking those indvidual items onto every order.

i Would have to agree with JeffreyDJ.
the premium is most likely just a deluxe with the most popular option tacked on in anvance and would assume that the price would work out to be very close to the same on the two models. Just a quick way to save paper work. Also could be that later in the 05 year the 18" rims may become available and may only be an option on the premium. just my 2 cents
