Got the brakes installed yesterday. Only ran into a small issue where the brake line on one side was not going to work. The metal line part in the caliper side was not bent in the right direction. I reused the brake line off of my stock caliper and everything turned out great.

As you can see in the pictures below there is a huge difference in the size of the parts of the stock GT brake assembly and those of the Brembo assembly.

As far as braking performance goes, it will easily throw you into the dash, and I now feel like I am tire limited. The ABS defiantly kicks on if you jump on it.

When I did the springs and shock the nose dive disappeared, but it is now back with these Brembos clamping down.

For those interested in what it took to get it done, I posted most of that info in the thread linked below. https://themustangsource.com/forums/...trofit-538548/

Hope you don't mind, but as a fellow '08 Vapor GT owner, I may or may not be using your car's progress as a basis for a lot of my own mods. This Brembo swap is something I've looked at since even before I bought my GT this past April, and you're making me want to do it even more.

Keep it up, she's a beauty.

I don't mind at all. You should start a thread and post some pictures of your car. Maybe post some in the vapor silver sub forum. That sub forum has definitely needed some fresh activity for a while.

So I have been suffering from the annoying, door panel sagging, and I finally decided to do something about it.

Got my tools and materials together, and went to work. I chose to be careful and do it with the door panels in the car. I think it went ok.

My first round with contact cement looked great, but after a day or two it started sagging again.

On round two I used some aerosol headliner glue I found in my grandfathers garage and tried again. This time it worked great.

Really happy with the outcome. Thinking about putting a short little how too out there later.

Any way pics below.

My nephew's '07 GT's door panels did that. I took the panels off, spread glue on them, and pressed the material back down. I also used a tucking tool similar to what you have there to tuck in the edges and it came out great. I watched a YouTube video on door panel removal to make sure I found all of the screws before trying to pull the panel off.

It looks like you got great results as well.

I used a repair manual when I took my door panels off to put on FatMat sound deadener.

But it is amazing what you can find on you tube. I've recently been on you tube for how tos to fix a shower valve, and to pull off my grandfathers back lift gate panel on his Flex to fix a rattle.

Got some new goodies installed. Steeda strut tower brace, and a OBDII cover. Also painted rear caliper relocation brackets, so that I can fit larger rotors on the rear. Looking to install them tomorrow along with new rotors and a new Steeda A-arm brace.

Got the Steeda A-arm support brace installed today.

Also got installed were some pre-painted side view mirror caps my wife ordered for Christmas.

Took some better pictures of the mirror caps.

They really do match the existing paint very well, and do a great job of visually shrinking the side view mirrors. The more I look at them, the more I like them.

Ok so, over the past few months I have been having an issue with the car pulling to the right on acceleration and then pulling back left when I got off the gas. After looking into several things I finally discovered that the bushing in my less than 2yr. old SR control arms where allowing forward and backward movement of the rearend. In the pics, you can see where the control arms were sliding around in the mounts.

Ended up replacing them last week with Steeda's billet lower control arms, and I love them. Much more planted feeling, and they transmit much less noise into the cabin than the SR units. They are also lighter than the SR units.

Sometimes you don't save money when you buy a less expensive part.

Hoping/expecting the bushings in Steeda's control arms to last more than two years.

This past week, I got around to putting in 13-14 GT500 rear rotors on the car (12.8"). A bit bigger than the standard ones were in 08'.

I used a set of cnc'd brackets, I picked up from a guy on eBay. I painted them black a while ago.

This app is killing me with the random allowance of posting pictures.
