Went to the Mustangs on the Mountain show in Stone Mountain, GA this past weekend. It was put on by the Silver Mustang Registry. Got to meet a couple of our forum members, Neko and LivinTheStangLife. Had a great time, and got to see some cool mustangs. There were a few rare ones there I hadn't seen before too. (P51 Roush, and the 97? Mystichrome Cobra.)

New shocks question.
I have noticed recently that the ride quality has gotten a little rougher. I knew when I installed the steeda springs that it was recommended to upgrade the shocks/struts, but didn't want to spend the extra money at the time. I've noticed that the Koni's have recently gone on sale and am thinking of picking up a set.
I've e-mailed Sam Strano (use to be on here a lot, but I haven't seen him in a while.) about the STRTs, but I would like to know what ya'll think about them?
Who out there has them paired with their Steed springs?

After speaking with Sam I went ahead and got the Koni oranges (STRTs). Ordered on Wed. and they arrived on Fri. That was certainly a quick turnaround. Hoping to get them installed Sun. Or Mon.

Installed the Konis yesterday. It took about three hours total with both me a my dad wrenching.
I must say I was a little skeptical about the improvement in ride quality, but it is much improved. When going over bumps, the first hit really hasn't changed much, but what has is the bouncing that was occurring after.
I would definitely recommend them. Wish I had just installed them when I did the springs Last year.
Oh and a thanks again to taco and his sticky. Gone and still helping out the stang world. :-)

Just went to get the car aligned from where I just installed the struts, and of course I am out of spec. :-/. I am -1.75 on one side and -1.8 on the other.
How much negative camber can I get away with on a daily driver?
I know I've got some options, but which one.?
Camber bolts or caster camber plates?

Thanks, I am probably going to order the camber bolts. The guy at the shop wanted to cut/slot my brand new Konis. I was like ummm no. Told him I'd buy caster/camber plates before I'd allow that.

Look around too. I picked up a used set of MM CC plates for $220 shipped and they're usually like $350. Only had 6k miles on them.

Well, I ended up carrying the car to a different shop and they were able dial it in to just above factory specs. Close enough that I'm not worried about it. It's crazy what some of these shops will do to make something work :-/ .
Glad I went to one that prefers to communicate and do thing proper. :-)

After having to clay bar the wife's car, I decided to do mine. It's the first time this car has been clayed. Paint wasn't bad, but it did help clear up some rough areas and small scratches. Here are a few pics after the clay. I haven't polished it with wax as of yet. I'm out of time and my arms are exhausted after working on both cars. Hoping to wax it tomorrow.

I just came across this thread. Guess I have been enjoying summer too much after this past brutal winter.
Your car looks AWESOME ! very clean with well thought out mods.
I LOVE Vapor silver. Nice choice of wheels and they will work with Brembo's if you go that route. Very nice car !!!!

Someone bumped into the back of my car :-/ Found this this morning when I was leaving for work. I assume it happened while is was at work yesterday. Cause the only other place the car was at was in my driveway. It's really not that bad just really asinine.
