*******PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT******** CHANGE YOUR FUEL FILTER. ********THAT IS ALL********* Took the time to change the oil and replace the fuel filter. First time changing the fuel filter on this car. It needed it.
For those that don't know, it is located under the drivers door/seat. It is cover by a plastic panel that is only held on by 3 nuts/screws and a couple of plastic snaps.
After that all you have to do is pinch the side of the couplers at both ends of the filter and it slides right out.
As you can see in the pics below there was some nasty stuff in there.

They finally fixed the picture posting from the mobile app. Here are the pics of the crap that came out of my fuel filter. (Also added pics to first post about the filter including pics of location for those who don't know where it's at).

Yeah, I changed my filter on my '07 at 35K, then again at 70K. It was like that both times. I think I'll do it a little earlier the next time.
Great looking car, love the additions.

So I fixed my rear caliper issue (hopefully for good). The rear caliper slides have been seizing on me. I have pulled them apart cleaned and re-lubed twice and they still keep freezing back up. Thanks to DarKsidE323 I received some used gt500 rear calipers. Got them installed and everything is working great. I love the black paint on them too. Gives things a cleaner look in the back.

You car looks amazing. Im thankful for this thread as it is similar to what I would like to do with my car someday when I have more cash.
Thanks for the fuel filter announcement. I had no idea about it. Gonna look into what it is and what to do about it more.
Keep up the great job.

So it has been a while since I have updated, but that's because I really haven't done anything except window shop online.
Today however I ordered 50 sq. ft. Of 80mil Fat Mat rattle trap self adhesive sound deadener.
Looking forward to getting it in some places on the car. Hoping it helps with some of the drone from the exhaust. :-)
Also looking forward to comparing it to the Dynamat I used on old blu back in the day.

So 50 sq. ft. Of Fatmat RattleTrap arrived on Saturday and me and the wife installed it in the trunk and the bottom of the rear seat on Sunday.

I downloaded an app that lets me get decibel readings and the wife took before and after readings while I drove. There was a 10 decibel drop in noise in the cabin after doing the trunk and the bottoms of the rear seat witch I though was worth the effort.

Yesterday I did the doors and rear quarter panel areas around the rear seat. Forgot to take any pics of the quarter panels. I already had it back together after before I realized it.

You're wasting a lot of material... http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com...oupe-2005-2014
Not sure if I will go further with it or not? Didn't think about the kick panels till I looked at your link Patrick. Might do those.

So today I opened up a Christmas present I got this past year. I used it to apply a two stage polishing/waxing. Was really happy with the results. The polishing compound was a little hard to take off, and if my wife hadn't got home from work in time to help with the second coat, I probably would have waited till another day.
The polishing compound did a great job on the top of the rear bumper that just can't seem but to get scratched and scraped. I don't even open the trunk that often. :-)
Anyways pics.
