I have had my car for about 9 months now and have gotten pretty close to E on the gas gauge. I have not seen the low fuel light go on at all. I don't have IUP but I would still think I have gone low enough to ahve seen it. Any ideas?

 

I don't have IUP and mine came on for the first time last night. It lite up in the bottom right corner of the speedometer. You probably couldn't put a hair between the guage line and the red line tho.

 

I do have IUP and ran it all the way down to 0 miles to go and the gauge flat on empty and no light came on.

 

Mine comes on religiously at just under an eighth of a tank. You'd better get those checked out if you're concerened about it. Good luck!

hmmm, i guess i shoudl ask about it, i've gotten pretty low and no light. I don't really need the light thoguh, maybe its better to leave it alone and not risk someone messing up my electronics.

 

Does the message center act as the light or do people with IUP get a light AND the "XX Miles to Empty" message?

 

I'm getting just the message center warning - about twice a week!

 

WITH IUP...if you get the low fuel warning you hear a beep and see it in the message canter as well as the gauge turns red if you dont have the color set to red..just the fuel gauge changes it`s color..
