Loose outside door handle

I've noticed my driver's outside door handle is slowly becoming loose... it seats and functions fine...but front part of the handle (facing from of car) is now slightly loose and can be jiggled. The passenger handle is nice and tight (I suspect from less frequent use). Question: is there semi-easy fix to tightening up this loose play... or will this require the dreaded dealer warranty visit... Thx all.

Let your dealer replace the handle.

Try this post by LimeGT. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=44694 It worked for my car also. It might be what your describing.

Also had the issue on the driver's side. It appears to me that, at least from members of TMS, this problem is more than just minimal but there is no TSB on it. Not sure what, if any, guidelines Ford uses before a TSB or other info is issued.

just curious... left on it's own, does it continue to get worse (or even fail).. or just remain slightly loose & rattle?
