I almost didn't call, but curiosity got the better of me. This time, at least, it didn't kill the cat. I may actually have to send that old ERL a mother's day card...'cause she certainly is one mother.

I went from scheduled for the week of May 16th to locked in and scheduled for the week of May 16th.

I assume this is somehwhat of an improvement, and at least, sounds better then slipping back to May 23rd.

Hope everyone else is getting better news, too. I know I haven't waited nearly as long as some other have, but it has certainly felt like long enough to me!!

Good luck to all, and I hope we're all in our new rides sooner rather then later. (Does anyone know if there's a blessing for a Mustang order?)

I don't mind sharing a birthday! I just don't want to share my car when it finally comesin ! (Well, maybe with my wife, sometimes...)

Thanks for the support, best of luck to everyone who's still waiting for some kind of progress.

As has been said in the past, we'll look back on this and laugh. At least it will be a good story like:

"where were you in the blackout of ___?" (77 and 04 for some)
"where were you on 9/11?"
etc.

You know, "where were you when your 05 was built?"

It sure didn't feel fast! But progress is progress.

Question, I just talked to my dealer and he said that their inventory manager talked to the Ford rep yesterday and that my order will be "pulled" the week of 5/16/05. Does anyone know what "pulled" means. Is that the same as being serialized or does that mean that my order is going to be built the week of 5/16/05? He did tell me that my order will be built in the 05 model year. YEAH! Please forgive me for giving myself a banana but I couldn't help it. I'm not as patient as most of you.

That's what usually happens (friday the dealer will know vin#) and a day or so latter
you can get a build week, which is usually a couple weeks later.

I'm hoping no longer than 5 weeks after build, so you guys with the same build week should be driving around a few weeks before I am. I'm guessing rail and/or carrier to the west coast and then container.

My only problem is my local dealer is planning a location move right around when I'm optimistically hoping for delivery. Hopefully, his chaos won't delay things further.

It's the price of paradise...but in the meantime, I've get a nifty little white dodge neon rental to tool around in (oh boy!).
