I scanned 2 local articles about how production of the 05 Stang started at AAI.

It's from Sept 15th edition of the News Herald. I haven't even read it yet... just hurried up and scanned it To read them better... save them and read them off of your computer.. or print them out

Edit -- I already see some "small" mistakes in the article.. mostly spelling and location haha Gorno Ford isn't in Southgate

The production number is about correct.

Annual volume will be 150,000 cars/year (677 days/day)

Nice article. They'd have to sell 26,565 base GT's to recoupe the 644mil they spent at AAI...doesn't seem like that'd be a problem lol

Best thing Ford ever did was have the AAI workers driving the pre-production mules at the Downriver Cruise (and later at the Woodward Dream Cruise). It was amazing seeing all of them and how many people were flocking to them. It was a huge hit at the cruise. And the extra bonus is that it's being built in the Downriver area... one of America's best known icon... right here. Detroit and Michigan is known for it's pride.. and it was felt then. Best advertisement ever!!
