I was a bit afraid that at 6'2" I would feel a little bit cramped in the driver seat of the 2005. I never tried the previous model but I heard it was uncomfortable for 5'9" and taller drivers! What are your opinions about that?
Again, I'm 6'8" and I can tell you from sitting in an '05 GT that was at the 2004 Shelby Mid-America meet in Tulsa--the 05 is a better fit than an 04 GT, and it's better than my 03 GT (with the top up--LOL). The seats are more comfortable in the 05 GT, and the driving positition is better---no comparison...

The new GT isn't huge inside, but if you want huge, buy a Crown vic LOL....

Wow 6'2" thats incredibly tall... in fact thats like the minimum for which you must be considered tall
Well, I'm quite happy with my 6'2" which is perfect unless you're dating girls on the russian volleyball team!

Nevertheless, it's great to hear that a 6'8" would fit in the 2005! (That way I can take one of those russian girls on a wild ride in my '05 stang!) B)

6'2" and 195lbs here.....fit EXTREMELY comfortably. Most headroom of most cars I've ever sat in (major problem for me). About 3-4 fingers of headroom.

Like steve said, you sit at the perfect height, not high like the SN-95's. Lots of leg room. The whole cockpit, though a couple of inches larger in all dimensions, feels MUCH larger than the current car.

Rear seats won't offer much room but you can get people back there (especially behind the passanger) if you have to.

I was extremely impressed with the interior and interior room.

Welll Guys I have sat in the 05 3 times, and I'm 6'4" 385# with a 34"inseam. The 05 is a BIG Improvement to me as far as interior comfort. No more having to Lean on the Center Console, so My Shoulder doesn't press into the Door Panel, like on a 94-04. Plenty of head, shoulder, leg, and knee room! I had to actually move the seat closer to the dash to be comfortable with the reach to the steering wheel, but still had plenty of room between my knees and the dash.

As for the Back Seat, when I saw the 05 at Legends Field here in Tampa, there was a guy that got in the back seat and he was 6' tall. My Mom had been in the passenger seat and had it moved forward just a little and this guy said it wasn't bad, the way they bucketed the bottom cushion made a big difference.
