How are the map light LED's? Are they too bright or just bright enough? Moss Mustang has a set claimed to be 10x brighter than stock which I think might be a bit too much.

yea i got the 211-2 from VLED on ebay
it only flashes on for a second then off.
the map lights are OFF OFF ..theyre not on at all
and theyre definately not 10x brighter..that would just be obnoxious lol
theyre a good deal brighter than stock .. but they do a good job
any idea why the trunk one flashes?

jcopin: Apply 12V directly to the 211-2 replacement LED and see if it stays on. I checked the wiring diagram for the trunk light and it should stay on. There's a simple trunk switch that either completes the circuit to the bulb or makes it an open circuit.

if i push the switch that closes the circuit in the trunk it just flashes each time .. maybe it not drawing enough juice and i need a load equalizer?? i wouldnt think i need drastic action for this trunk bulb. or maybe the bulb is defective.
also i made the car pitch black ..tints help and sure enuff those map lights are on ...very dimly.. but id think at that level it would take a year to drain the battery

I just did the LED swap as well and noticed the LEDs remained "ON".
I should have done this earlier, but I checked the voltage with the trunk light "OFF" and the SJB is still supplying 9.75V
My 07 GT can't use LEDs unless the LEDs are designed to shut off below 10 VDC.

i tried something else
i put the regular bulb back in and held the LED bulb against the contatcs as well and it lights fine.. but when the normal bulb is not lit the LED only flickers quickly then shuts off
does the system think the bulb is out?
