Leather seat covers?

Anybody here have leather seat covers for their 05-09 GT? If so, where is a good place to buy them for a fair price?

Here's a couple of links , google 2005 mustang leather seat covers and you'll find more. I replaced my OEM leather seats with Roush covers I got from their eBay store.

Why is the first one do cheap compared to the second link? And how exactly do you install the seat covers? Do they just go right over the cloth seats, or is it more complicated than that?

You need to remove the original seat covers and then install the new set.

Here is a good video on replacing seat covers. New Take Off doesn't show the seat covers on their site anymore.

Leatherseats.com, TMI, and Katskinz all make good replacements as well. You can get custom made to order sets.

Just had Katzkin done in my '06. She was daily driven for 5+ years so I've been working on "refreshing" the car to remove the wear. Last year was painted stripes and rock chip removal, this year new seats. Looks like a new car now! I just posted a thread with some pictures so you can see how it turned out. Katzkin makes a great kit as far as I'm concerned, and I got a 3 year warranty by having it installed at a Katzkin dealer.

Good luck with your decision!

The kit costs around $1200 in my case, but can vary quite a bit based on the options you choose. Mine are towards the higher end being "premium" double stitched with the suede which all cost extra. I also paid $200 for two yards of extra suede for the door panels, so materials totaled around $1400 plus tax.

Install was $700 ($350 for the seats and $75 per door panel). Total damage in the neighborhood of $2100.

TiP: Keep an eye on eBay, extra sets go on sale once in a while for relatively cheap. In fact the dealer has a set of Charcoal/Grey for an 05-09 Mustang coupe sitting in the shop, very similar to mine minus the suede. She asked me to see if I could help sell to my local club, total installed $1200.

Definitely appreciate the offer, but I would be looking for black. Thanks though!

Are yours worn out or are you looking to upgrade form fabric?

I have a full set of factory take off charcoal for an 05-09 coupe, and a second full set of charcoal for an 05-09 convertible. The coupe seats were in the car for approximately 45,000, the convertible for 30,000. Both were show cars, with only very minimal wear to the drivers seats.

Not sure what exactly you are looking for but PM me if interested.

Mine has the cloth seats. I actually like the feel of sitting in them, but the leather seats just look classier to me. I think I might try to find a junkyard and see if they have any wrecked Mustangs I could take the leather seats out of. Seems too expensive buying them used or buying the covers and having them installed.
