Key compatability

Before the crash of '06 , there was a thread about key compatability or lack thereof with the fusion and also with older 'stangs. I could not find the thread. If someone could point me to a link or give me the readers digest version of what is compatable, I would appreciate it. I would like to get a couple of spares made for the '05, but the stock plastic is sub par.

I remember the thread you're talking about and here's the key that was mentioned. It's from the previous generation Mustangs and other Fords. Someone did get one and have it cut and it worked. Not sure how much smaller the "head" is compared to ours, but at least it was made of better material that wouldn't get all torn up within a couple of days.
