After judging a Black Mach 1 and a Azure Blue Mach 1 this past weekend, I can honestly say I will never buy a black Mustang. While both were awesome looking, The blue just looks better after two hours on the show field. The pollen/dust/etc. just shows up too bad on the black.
The 66 fastback below is black and will remain black. But no more for me.

What everyone said ....I'm on my 3rd black car and even have a black bike - I just really like the color - but man is it a ton of work! Of course when I'm cruising down the street after a fresh wash/wax and get people staring (even dudes who are otherwise to cool to look B4 they can catch themselves) then it's all worth it .....I have actually cut back from washing/cleaning every week - to every other week now - it's just so time consuming.
If I had it to do all over again - I'd get black exterior - but probably go with the light graphite interior - cause man-o-man does that black interior show EVERY speck of dirt - never vacuumed a car so much till this one!!

Black was one of my top choices and then I put it into perspective. I am not a clean freak with my cars and no color would I be a slave to even black! I'd drive it dirty. Actually it wasn't so much the cleaning as it was the heat . Besides as much is "black is beautiful" I think it hides to much of the lines of the car or any car for that matter.

This is the reason I am glad I went with legend lime. My last stang was true blue, which is almost as hard to keep clean as black. My new stang, however, is so easy to keep looking great. Even when there is a coat of dust or pollen on it, you can't tell unless you get up close and look at a funny angle. It still shines nice, so much so that in the afternoon I can't look directly at the hood or I will be blinded by the reflection of the sun. I can even do the trick where i take a piture of the car and see my own reflection. I try to wash it at least once a week, so it never gets very dirty unless there is a ton of rain, but I don't have time to dust it between washings. I hate driving a dusty, dirty car. It's all I can think about while I am driving, so I think the fact that unless this car is totally filthy that it looks nice and clean greatly adds to my enjoyment of the car.
