I am more concerned about the license plate, putting it on would require me to puncture the vinyl stripes. I know some people use a bracket, but I need ideas. Any suggestions?

I had the tint pulled off today just from the side windows, not the rear window (hopefully that will be good enough. I also used 3M tape to hold the front plate on long enough before I take the car to Pennsylvania in the next year or two where they don't require a front plate. I'm getting the inspection tomorrow morning so I'll let you all know how it goes. (also reinstalled the stock CAI and tune just to be safe).

Well it failed inspection. I'm sure everyone knew that after reinstalling the stock tune/CAI one has to put about 50 miles on the car for it to log enough data about emissions. Needless to say, I did not do that. I'm taking a mini road trip now. Inspection again tomorrow. (The 20% tint on the rear window was fine)

Regarding the window tint- I use to have a spare driver and passenger window that I could swap out, to pass inspection. After it would pass, reinstall the tinted windows. F*k the police!

Heh yeah, did that one summer here in good ol' Va and ended up with 14 tickets before the year was out plus having to attend that scam otherwise known as driver improvment school.
Ahhh... the heady and sometimes financially painful days of my youth.
The police seemed like they were a little more lienient in those days, I once ripped down the highway at nearly a buck thirty and only got a warning (was the friday Natural Born Killers debuted), and also got pulled over on RT4 outside of DC doing right at 100 with only a speeding ticket.
Recently though, I had a cop pull me over for doing 35 in a 25 and his parting comment was "I was hoping you were going to make a run for it". Still got off with a warning and no ticket, so I cant complain.
Should have told him that anytime his department wanted to practice some closed course high speed pursuit, they should give me a call

I got a warning for this once and told the state trooper I'd put them on have ran into him multiple times since then and still I haven't put one on.. But that trooper is kinda a dbag anyways him and I don't much get along I used to work with him and he's just a moron.. And I called him out he slept with a girl in a class below me when I was in highschool...he was still a trooper she would have been 16 then.

You have to look at the people the job attracts.
1. I get to drive fast
2. I get a gun
3. I get authority
4. No education required.
5. If I'm not very smart I won't get promoted out of traffic duty.
= high tool coefficient
Not saying all traffic cops bite but hey there are great people who are lawyers too...but they sure as sh it aren't the majority.
Always been my thought on the subject.

(Remember, Chief Joseph & the Nez Perce outfoxed 5 units of the Cavalry's best over 1700 miles, but got beat by the telegraph just 50 miles from the border... damm radio. )

I cant remever how fast the charger is festooned with all those lights but IIRC its still lower than the 155 that a stock Shelby is limited to.
Speaking of Chargers, in the summer of 2007, I bet yet another ticket on the way back from Bud's Creek on RT17, there is a section where the road was cut out of some hilly areas and every so often there is a cut out the police can hide in since the median seems to be where they dumped the extra dirt they scooped out of the bed for the road.
I was shooting down 17 doing about 80 or so and I caught a state police charger out of the corner of my eye. He never persued but when I got home a few days later a buddy of mine had told me why. Back then I had my vista blue GT and the cop had indeed began to pull out and chase me down, but my buddy in his Trailblazer SS was trying to catch up and see if I wanted to stop at a resturant in the upcoming town and get something to eat. The officer pulled him instead. To add insult ot injury the cop told him that he was just aobut to pull out and give me a ticket when my buddy rode by.
He told me that and I offered to pay the ticket since his sacrifice would still save me a bundle in the long run on insurance but he declined.
