Which IUP Dash color on a Alloy car?

I hope to be ordering an 07 GT in 10 or so months, and I've been pondering what to do about the dashboard accent.

I think I'll be getting the car in alloy. What's your opinion on the dash inserts? I hardly see any cars with the dark inserts, seems everyone gets the aluminum look.

You have 2 choices for the dash panel, satin (which is what you call the aluminum look) and charcoal. I have a 2007 Alloy, and my dealer ordered the charcoal panel by accident. I wanted the satin because I never saw the charcoal before, and was afraid it would be too dark. I must say that I'm glad that I got the charcoal, its one on my favorite features in the interior. Everyone compliments me when they see it.

I think it depends on your interior color more than exterior. I have black leather in my car with the satin IUP. I couldn't be happier.

Cool. I guess I'll sit in a few cars, they have a ton of V6's left over at the dealership, too bad I didn't want one of those they're going to be heavily discounted...

I'll be going w/the dark charcoal interior, cloth seats.

hate to have to correct your grammer, but you should have used "an" instead of "a" in your thread title....(1,000th post!)

Cool

Dash Color is kind of dependent on interior color.

I have the charcoal (snake skin) dash with Charcoal leather interior. Very classy.

On the lighter interior cars the satin (ribbed) dash looks best.

What color is your interior?

I picked the charcoal panel. I have ordered the Premium Trip Package -charcoal leathert with dove accents. I think the charcoal panel contrasts better with the grey on the lower dash.

I think the satin looks best with the black/charcoal interior and the charcoal panel looks better with parchment and light graphite interiors.

I sat in different cars with the charcoal interior so I could get a feel for the satin and charcoal dashes. I just couldn't get over the disparity between the air vents and the charcoal dash and went with the satin. It looks more traditional to me also which is what I like best.

BTW, wife liked the charcoal best so obviously both look good.

Hate to have to correct your spelling, but you should have used an "a" instead of an "e" in grammar.

Can use the regular vents which are black, I am going to get some of those.

I chose satin with chamois interior and have no complaints. I like the way it breaks up the dash. I'm sure charcoal would have looked good, as well.

I'd highly recommend going to a Ford dealer several times under different lighting conditions to see what the Charcoal and Satin appliques look like, especially if you can find the different overlays in the same color interior you are looking to order.

I just ordered a Tungsten GT with a Dark Charcoal interior and I chose the Charcoal overlay. In addition to the color, I also liked it how it had a carbon fiber weave look to it.

I agree--Ford should have made the air vents and the shaft around them charcoal also on the "dark" IUP cars. I would have gone with the satin anyway, though. I think the satin dash is a nice contrast to my dark charcoal interior and has more of a retro look besides. But to Ford for offering us a choice.

Personally with a dark exterior color and a dark charcoal interior, i'd rather go for the satin aluminum look, just to set off the interior and add some color to break up all the dark greys.
