An 850 is almost impossible. 750-850 is considered excellent credit.

Cool...I got your 750 beat, so I hope my bank will play. Thanks!

I was stating it for the original poster for a reference point of what’s considered good or not. That’s the range he should one day try to be in. And for the most part anything in that area will net the same interest rates, I believe.

I'm 45 and have great credit. I was able to get 4.9% for 4 or 5 years and 5.5% for six years. (I'm going with the four years) I think 6.9% for an 18 year old with no credit history is fantastic!

I hope so. I haven't started plugging banks yet to see what they'll offer.

You can also negotiate an interest rate. Try and get them to come down some if you don't like a specific rate.

792 score. 3.9 % from NASA federal credit union for 60months (I took that). Best Ford would do is 5.9%. Finance manager told us right off the bat the he probably could not beat our credit union and he was right.

well i ordered my stang today but ended up being the cosigner and my dad being the primary. the 6.9 interest was for my dad and they told us was because the 05 stang doesnt have any special offers like the others. the car is going to be around 25 grand ( not including taxes, registration. etc.) with a 8.9 i think interest rate for 48 months. next year we'll try to refinace it to something lower. by the way you guys have been really helpful. ive been hook to this site ever since the concept came out. they told me it should arrive in about 2 months.

2 months is pushing it as some have been waiting for much longer. heck, I ordered 11-28 and my Stang doesn't even have a scheduled build date.

Yea it may work out to your advantage since it seems that the IUP fiasco is over so it may take the 8 week ETA like normal. Hopefully that will be true

Hey there,
I'm no professional in the $ lending department, but I expect that's a good rate for your age and credit. The best rate I've found was a flat 4.0 (Credit Union). Good luck with your GT.
