I'm 37. Quote for Cobra $600/yr.

What ins company.

Encompass.

No tickets, no accid, it would be a third vehicle (my p/u, wifes minivan)

That was quoted last fall, don't know if it has changed since.
I have Encompass insurance and I asked for a quote yesterday. I'm 36, no tickets and no accidents. It would be a second car to replace an old pickup.

04 Mustang GT $958.00/yr
04 Cobra $1,240.00/yr

I asked them why it was so much and they said that it was because it was a performance car. It's also strange because some insurance companys seem to regard rural areas as a greater risk than urban areas.

BTW, our Lincoln is $788.00/yr and it is rated at 252hp while the 04 Mustang GT is rated at 260hp. [/b][/quote]
interesting, like I said that was 6 months ago. I also have 2 cars, my house, bass boat, jewelry etc. with them. I wonder if that makes a diff.

Thanks SVT, I think I just might do that when the time gets closer.

crazyhorse,
I have the house, the Lincoln and a '90 Chevy P/U (I know, it came from the junkyard and it was all I could afford at the time) on this policy. Only my wife and I are on it and we are in our 30's with clean driving records. We also have a $500 deductible. It doesn't sound like we are getting the best deal out there.

(Sorry for bringing up a day-old topic)

Im somewhat new here, been looking over the 2K5 Stang forums... and the car itself...

Im 19 (20 about 3 weeks before the release of the 2005) and curious as to how much my insurance rates will go up going from a MB - 4Cyl to a 2K5Stang - V6.
Seems like im paying out the you-know-what already at the moment...

Although I have ZERO tickets, ect... *if being in California makes a diffrence*

(I wonder if my insurance company (AAA) would fill me in...)

Thx.
