i work at local credit union and we go as low as 3.95% for 60 months. If you qualify for that loan % its usually cheaper to take any rebate money offered unless they are not offering rebate money but a special financing offer instead.

Just gonna have to wait to see what the market is when I buy.

Never hurts to have 2-3 bank loan quotes from banks though. Finance guys at the dealers usually want you to go through their banks, so you might can get a rate lower than whatever bank rate quotes you have as they try to beat them.
The dealer can always outsell the banks

i dunno how accurate the credit bureaus really are. I just got a home equity loan and paid off a bunch of stuff. the credit report they pulled on me didnt even show my current car loan that i have had for 3 yrs. You'd think that would be reported to all the credit bureaus.

in this case i didnt care that it didnt show up cuz it made my debt ratio look better than it was.

Depends on who your car loan was through. If its through a major bank or lender, it should be there. If its a smaller bank, or local institution, it may not be. Companies are charged to report to the "big 3" and some smaller companies don't report unless your late and the account is charged off.
