I tried very hard to get one that catches the curves of the rear and the rake of the front at the same time

Great job, kevin... are you working on getting the pics up... no rush. Just curious if you are gonna have some more, and when to be on the look out.

I DELETED HALF OF MY PICS!!!! :bang: I didnt do too many full car photos either, I had closeups of the aluminum with no flash on the dash, a full uber closeup of the headlight assembly and some other stuff. The one I posted with the hindquarter's curves showing was one of the "must get" photos to give it some depth. I had a few others from higher up and more down the side but lost em. We are working on getting one for the dealer to play with anyway. For you non-salesmen, just to rub it in......we WILL have a free for all ride-and-drive in the late summer where we get to tear them up in the parking lot at Fed Ex field :w00t:

Heres a couple more, nothing great though:

Ah. Any news is good news! And any pics are better!! Since I'm one of those people that won't be able to see one in person until they arrive on dealers lots this fall. I appreciate any and all pictures that everyone has had the generosity to post on this website. You all have my heartfelt gratitude.

The current car is a darn torture chamber next to the 05.

I've been trying to explain this to those hosers over on StangNet who keep insiting that the Mach 1 is far better than the 05.

The mach 1 seats do make it much more tollerable(they are the same cut as the cobra). With the easier T3650 clutch and shifter over the cobra, its actually pleasant pleasant-the bullitt is exactly the same for the same reasons. The subframe connectors and softer springs makes the ride tollerable.

But its not even close to the new car's interior layout. It is very natural feeling, and the gauges are easy to read and sit just right through the wheel. After spending years in them, it only took about 2 minutes to get used to it. I came back to the dealer and sat in the 325ci, its amazingly simillar, only the controls on the mustang are in places that make sense.

Diplomatically, I might add. Especially to the the kid who thinks his modded 97 V6 is better than the 2005. Oh well.

Kev, nice shots! That one with the doors opens really shows the shape of the hood. People think its almost flat! Wrong! It actually has a very nice shape. Gorgeous in person.

In the belive it or not file. I just remembered another converstation that I had with the Ford engineer. I asked him why the 05 Stang didn't have a hidden radio antenna.

If you don't belive it, don't yell at me, because I'm not sure I belive him on this myself. Here is my best recollection of the conversation on the radio antenna:

Why didn't you use a hidden antenna on it?
MW - We couldn't get good enough (radio) reception.
Your kidding me, it wasn't because of the convertible?
MW - No
It wasn't because of cost?
MW - No, we just couldn't get good reception.
Lots of other cars have hidden antennas, you really couldn't get it to work?
MW - I don't know the reason(s) why, but we tried hidden antennas and the AM reception was horrible, customers would not be happy.
You're putting me on. No one listens to AM anymore.
MW - Around Detroit they do. AM is very important for traffic and sports around Detroit. We have to have good AM detection. FM is better with the whip antenna too. FM was OK with the hidden antenna, but it's better with the whip.
I've updated my orignal post to add this in.

Yeah that's about what he said. I was the one who asked him about it. In addition he said the spot where the antenna is, is where the best reception was.

With the size of it, he could have put it under the car and it still would have gotten every radio station on earth.

Dustin, I think that you also asked him about putting the antenna on the rear fender. Do you remember this at all?

Rear window. My Honda has the antenna in the rear window mixed in with the defroster lines on the glass. My overall impression is that they didn't make an integral antenna a priority, so they didn't put in the extra effort to make it work. Whatever it doesn't matter to me.
