Someone just posted on StangNet that he went to both Rodman Ford last week and All American Ford in NJ yesterday. He said that there was a markeing person (not a Ford employee) on hand at NJ but no engineers. But, they had 2 - Stangs in NJ. The Redfire GT that was @ Foxboro and a silver V6.
A couple more bits of info he posted:
63 - 2005 Mustangs have been built so far. 3 original prototypes and 60 more. As Dustin & I reported, ALL of these cars will be crushed or crash tested.
They are planning on building 110 pilot cars shortly. This is apparantly the "pilot run" that the engineer @ Foxboro told us about.
For you guys who just can't see enough photos, here is a link to this person's photos (and comments).

But he is correct in that marketing defines what sort of SE that they want and marketing also decides exactly what the name of the SE is going to be.

If he is the structural engineer etc., he knows.....TRUST ME.

Hey was there any mention of a tire inflation pressure monitoring system?
That shot of the 17" wheel and brakes has a metal valvestem which indicates there is a pressure sensor in the wheel.

The 2005 Mustang will have a tire pressure monitor. I belive that all it will tell you is that the air pressure in one or more tires is low. It will not tell you which tire or how many PSI the tire has.

Yeah, does anyone know where we can see a pic of the GT with cloth interior. Doesn't really matter about the color... just wanna see the horse logo on the cloth interior.

Thanks for the pic, Tony. Those are gonna look sweet in the dark grey/charcoal color, contrasting with the chrome accents inside the car. I wanted to go with the leather, but it's so hot down here in southern Louisiana... had to go with the cloth.

Guys, I think (just my personal opinion) we are going to see just a minor "SE" if you want to call it that. I feel we will get an upgrade option that will be part of the new suspension. Something like the Bullitt received. Maybe Ford will add some interior options, again like the Bullitt. But this new SE will not be like the Bullitt or Mach 1. Maybe a minor, very minor tuning of the new 3v to increase it 10hp, thats all. Maybe a new wheel design as well. That is why the Marketing dept is still trying to come up w/ a name. How long did it take Ford to design the new stang GT, now we want them to come up another version w/in months of launch? How long did it take them to design and build the Bullitt and Mach 1? I would love to be wrong Ford. So prove it to me!!!
It would be great if Ford decided to come out w/ the Shelby GT350, Boss, another Bullitt or Mach 1. But I do not see that happening just yet. Maybe in a few years they will add these edtions on too keep the interest up, just as the current version. Again this is my personal opinion and just speculation, but like many of us I am very interested in the new info that will be coming out in the next year or so. I have seen the car personally and I love it. Ford took all the best features of the 65-68 models and formed one great car. Also I am hoping the 290-295rwhp is true. That will be enough hp for tooling around on the street and picking up the kids. Just my $.02

Trust me, anyone working on the SE knows what it is. Each classic mustang model such as Boss, Mach, Bullitt etc. has distinctive features. As I'm sure you know, you can't name it afterwards. Marketting and Ford Brass would have made the decision far in advance and anyone working on it would know what they are building....they just don't want to say.

Very good post. I am definately leaning towards this answer.
18's & suspension, minor exterior features (possibly hood scoops), maybe a power bump and interior upgrades
How about, oh I don't know, name it ........... GT-R
