I just emailed my local news
Sorry to tell you this man but welcome to the real world - sad to say but this is the way things work. I KNOW (cause I've been there) that you feel the 'older' folks are possibly 'talking down to you' and you feel that no one else seems able to undertsand what makes perfect sense to you. But as you stated, you are 17 and I'm sorry to say that you are only just starting to dip your foot into the pool of life and see how things really work. What looks great on paper, doesn't always work right when built in reality for the first time. It may sound 'old man' and cynical - but its life, bro.
TRUST ME. Wait ten years - you'll be seeing things in a WHOLE different light.
And plus, yes, there might be problems here concerning your order - but you have to think objectively and realize what everyone else has said about a new car platform, being mass manufactured for the first time, etc.... there are going to be delays, problems, miscommunications, etc... it is not going to run smooth the first time out (because any problems being run into are being run into for the FIRT TIME EVER) - PLUS, please realize that we have the INSIDE track here with info and pics and all due to this site and the other Mustang fans on here. Dealerships BARELY have any GTs to keep in stock (longer than 2 hours?), the main place most people have seen them is at a car show, and the commercials for them are only NOW (last week or so) beginning to run. The amount of complaining you are doing makes it seem like the car has been OUT and driving around since January - they only switched over the entire manufacturing plant - when - end of July? August?... I can't tell you how many everyday people I've mentioned getting my new car to and their reaction is "Oh - really?.... There's a new Mustang??...."
Enough - you are pissed. Others are pissed. We get it.
Its gotten to the point now that the further you take it is only going to rankle people on here further. I just recently discovered this site and one of the things I love about it is the 'brotherly/sisterly' concept that brings us all together - and its above all GOOD vibes and our love of the car. Maintaining or furthering your threads from here on out are only going to bring everyone down, bro.
Let it slide - be patient.
[and in my personal opinion, with your new sig 'Ford - I hate you' basically screams to plenty of people on here to 'go elsewhere'. Easy with that....]

Dan, consider this check out the local dealers in your area for their availabe 05's, tell them to even call you if a deal falls through on a model you like. You may even find one you like better that is a later build. A persentage do not work out at the time of sale. If nothing else it gives you something positive to do while you wait. You may even find a lower price. Better yet have your parents with you so sales know this is a sure deal, as I'm sure a new car has to go their name from a dealer. As you are not of age.
If you have read posts, you know we had problems at delivery and found one at another dealer. All we hit were brick walls complaining, so you are not alone.
Good Luck
Bruce

No offence but I’ll guarantee they won’t look at it twice…
I don’t know where you live but even if it is a Metro area, you have to ask yourself how many people watching will this affect…. 1, 2, 3, … even at 20 it still does not matter to the larger picture.
It’s not worth there time…. Plus you don’t use the press as a bargaining tool…

"Tonight at 10, The new Ford Mustang was supposed to be in consumer hands by now, but for some reason it's not. We have information that may suggest it causes nearby vehicles and people to spontaneously combust! And it causes cancer. More on that later."

I can totally agree with that!!! Dude, remember it's a car man no matter what Ferrari or Mustang, you can always find another one. Oh, not for being informed check out the little lawsuit Honda has against it with CRV starting on Fire. They didn't tell anyone, that's just the way the world works now a days Unforunately!!
You're kidding me right? You actually sent a letter to the local paper to compalin? I just don't get it. I ordered way before you and my car gets built next week. Sure I want to get it asap but I have to wait until it is my turn. I'm sure the paper is going to think the same.
i think the answer is random quality checks. when I was shopping through numerous dealerships I found a small hole in the wall low volume dealership got their first cars prior to a very large volume shop. i asked a different dealer why and he said that ford pulls random cars as soon as completed off the line for quality inspections especially new products like the 05 stang. it's just the unfortunate luck of the draw and there is not much anybody can do until they are done with it. the large volume shop got their car pulled while the small shop up the road did not
i will be extremely upset also if mine happens to be one of the few but since i ordered a vert hopefully most of their most frequent inspections are completed

Listen here you whining little you know what Ford has put me through college and my brother as well it is a great company that puts out great products. You can't understand this because you are 17 years old.
Just be lucky you can get this mustang at 17 . My Father put in his order for his car back in January and just got his delivered on election day. His car was in the quality control program and Ford wants to make sure this car lives up to what they say. This is a total redesign, with a totally redesign car you can have flaws, this goes for every car maker.
Fox 8 and all the other news stations are going to laugh at you they don't care about this they rather catch the criminal who cheated on the job etc.
YOU ARE OVER REACTING
PATIENCE

Listen, when a company screws me over with something like this, and won't even tell me why, I'm looking to screw them over too.
I'm paying Henry Ford 's $%&#ing salary, he can treat me better.

Like i said. I don't want mud slinging.
If I'm spoiled, then why am I paying fully for it? Because ive worked my hiney off for it, just like all of you.
Maybe this thread should be closed. All you people are interested in now is bashing me, and that's not what I want.
I believe I've been treated poorly by Ford, an nothing can change that.

One last thing. (And please really, lock this) I think I understand now that I just have to wait. It doens't matter really if it comes now or in January, because either way its gonna be in my garage all winter.
Lsiten, this is my first vehicle purchase ever, and its a big one. I still think its incredible I'm able to do it, and I'm excited. The day I pick up my 2005 Mustang will be a dream come true. I jsut was hoping it would go smoothly and have no snags. The past year has been tough on me with deaths in the family, relationships, school, working too much, you know, normal teenage (or human) stress.I've viewed thsi car as a way to put that all behind me and start something new ... because I will have reached my personal goal I set for myself so long ago.
Nothing goes 100% right though. I learned that. I even wrote an essay about it in religion class. But you learn from it.
I'm pretty headstrong. When I want something, I'll do what needs to be done to get it. Obviously, the way I've approached this situation wasn't the right way.
So my apologies to you all.

I think it`s great that you are able to work and buy a new car, especially an 05 stang. I don`t think people should be calling you a spoiled kid, you`ve worked for it and you deserve it. I`m 37 and am buying my first stang, and am excited too. You probably did overreact in contacting the news, but isn`t or passion for cars, Mustangs to be exact, the reason we are all here.(on this web site ...not the meaning of life...or is it hmmmm). I don`t know why there is so much negativity on this site. All the name calling and personal attacks. This is a great site to learn from our fellow enthusiasts, not to belittle people. Good luck Josh, and hope to be seeing you cruise your 05 around N.E. Ohio
