Got a call from my Salesperson this morning with update from last weeks status check, that containted no Build date. Salesperson, "I have information on your vehicle as follows: Build Date 8-26 Vin# 1ZVHT82H055105494 No Date for arrival, could be 4-5 weeks. will advise as information updates."

There has been talk of some being built sooner than the 9-6 week, although held for quality checks. Can anyone confirm that building has begun? I question because of an actual day of build date of 8-26 this pasted Thursday. Could this mean our new Mustang is alive and waiting to come home? I don't want false hope. If its true I want to start making room in the garage.

Anyone else have pre 9-6 build dates?

thats awsome man! ...a pre 9-7 (job 1) build date simply means that you are getting a saleable prototype unit. Positive: they are run through the line very slowly Negative: They are some of the first units to be produced

 

I got the same info from my dealer, he said the car is built, he's waiting to hear when it will be shipped. It was ordered as a demo such that it would be one of the first. Of course, this is what he told me, but we've bought 4 Super-Duty trucks (and 1 Mach) in the last year for our business (not the Mach!) from him, so I'd say I have to believe him.

Of course, it doesn't matter until it shows up, as long as it's here Sept 29th I'll be happy.

well if you car # is 5494, and your build date 8-26, then i have no idea when people will be getting their cars. my car # is 3766, but i didn't think i would get my car build before sept. 7th.

 

Congratulations!!! I hope this is true. Last I checked my car was Bucked. Hopefully will be one of the first group to be delivered to the dealerships.
