I am a big camaro and trans am fan, and I find the new mustang awesome in so many different ways. The thing I have always liked about the camaro and trans am was the performance in a straight line.

However for what it is worth I will be buying a new mustang gt over a ram air. Not because I think it will be faster, because of the looks of the car. I haven't driven a new gt yet, but I am guessing it still isn't going to be as fast as a ram air, but just as fast as a trans am or camaro. Now the cobra version will more than likely spank a ram air, but it is going to cost a lot more than one as well.

Just my thoughts guys, and gals.

 

Im not a die hard ford guy by any means. I have owned several classic impalas, a chevelle, and currently have a 69 dodge coronet working its way to be a super bee clone.

This being the case, the only GM car I would currently want to own is the Corvette. They have ruined the monte carlo, the GTO, the nova (anyone remember the 1987 econobox fwd nova?), the lemans (another tiny FWD car), and now the impala. GM has a history of ruining good and historic nameplates. I keep waiting for them to put the chevelle name on some front drive POS.

 

Whoever decided that this was a cool design needs to be taken out and shot

Yeah....When was the last time a new GM car got 25,000 orders before it was even seen by the public?

 

They should also be sterilized so they cant breed and have children who might design something like this again.

 

My DAD (corvette driver and mach lover) loves the car but expected more hp. He said its a beautiful car but was expecting more.....

that gto is an mundane looking pile of crap.. so i dont know what those guys are talking about when they call the mustang ugly.. the only thing that chevy has thats cool is the vette.. an only middle aged guys wanting to be young drive those.. as well as spoiled hiney rich kids.
