I give up, I need everyones help
I'm pretty sure the spacer is the size of the stock TB... so it can get it's "fins" into the airflow. If you put the stock sized spacer behind a bigger TB it'll basically act like the stock TB with the same spacer.

I wonder how reliable the pump is? My mustang is a daily driver I usually put at least 100 miles on it a week.

Only 100 a week? That is like two and a half days of driving for me. I think you'll be just fine.

Well, I snapped. I orderd my Pypes O/R H-Pipe from Brenspeed last night.

Yeah I snapped as well. I am ordering a JLT2 intake from Doug, Steeda pulleys, FRPP Anti-sway kit and strut bar. Need to put the smack down on the other 05's at the March 18th cruise. I'm sure they'll be one or two with blowers but I'll get them in the twisties!
Since your rocking aftermarket wheels make springs your next purchase. Steeda Sport Springs would really make a difference!

Well, they say about 3000 hours between failures. So take your average MPH from you message center and multiply that times 3000. For example, say you drive 45 mph on average. 45 mph x 3000 hrs = 135,000 miles. How long will the stock pump last?

Performance vs. appearance... this is a constant struggle for me. I balance it out as best I can. I think you made a good choice getting the o/r h-pipe though. My first mod ever was exhaust. The car has to sound good... that's key. And getting a nice exhaust that will sound mean and get you a few more horses is always a good thing. To balance your mods out, Chris, get the CDC classic chin spoiler next. Trust me... you won't be sorry. It will give your car a more aggressive look... to go with it's new aggressive sound. It really depends on what sound you are going for... there is an option out there for everyone at this point. I personally like the raspy, metallic sound of an x-pipe. Check the exhaust sticky though... there are sound clips there and info on just about every exhaust combination for this car. If you do get exhaust first, don't just get an axle-back. Get a mid-pipe as well... preferrably one with high-flow cats. The stock cats are just so restrictive.

I can't tell from sound clips...they all sound alike

Sound clips are a little bit deceptive. But I guess you just have to have an ear for it. I personally have been playing music my whole life... so I have a pretty good ear. And I've listened to so many exhausts the last year or so that I can hear a truck drive by me and know if it's got Flowmasters or Magnaflows.
It's hard for me to help you pick out an exhaust without knowing what you like. At the very least, I'd need to know why you want new exhaust... and what you don't like about the stock exhaust. I can tell you though that you can't really go wrong with either the JBAs or the Flowmasters on your future mod list.
