Passenger side seat belt tensioner. I sometimes carpool to work with a guy and he started complaining that the seatbelt was choking him and wouldn't let loose. I thought he was just a moron until we got in the car that night to leave work. When he pulled the seatbelt out it sounded like a ratchet set being wound in reverse. Belt pulls out, but then only cinches tighter after that.

Not a huge deal, but I finally get to post in the Issues forum. Just under 14K miles so far. You'd figure with some of the mods I've done that I would have run into some problems so far, but nothing yet. Fingers crossed and knocking on wood until I return...

Doesn't the passenger side ratchet for using a child seat? It should only ratchet when pulled most of the way out though. Maybe something has happened to the tensioner and is stuck in the rachet mode.
