Here's the situation: I'm experiencing the well-known, widely-discussed tank refill problem. I ordered the "new and improved" tank according to Ford's TSB, but since I'm in Holland, the dealer gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks :bang:
I need the car daily, and I need fuel in it (obviously), so if any of you guys can help me with some suggestions on how to avoid spending 30 mins at the pump every time I fill up, it'd be very appreciated.
Has anyone tried filling up the tank using a canister, a tube (e.g. short hose) and a funnel? If so, how did it work?

P.S.: I've already tried not sticking the nozzle all the way in, turning it 30, 90 and 180 degrees in all directions... nothing seems to help!

The only thing I've found that helps is to use a combination of not sticking the nozzle all the way in, and only holding the handle on the gas pump in about 1/4 of the way (so the gas is basically trickling in).

Other than that, try different gas stations - I've found a couple that I don't have any problems at for some reason.

This afternoon I wil try 1-2 gas stations. If there's no improvement, I will try the funnel.
I'll keep you posted on how it went.

be prepared, the gas tank is actually a lil bigger than that old one. My old one was 270 miles to empty, its now at 325 MTE with the new tank

try turning the nozzle upside down, I only had the problem twice, but that worked well

Wow, it would be nice to have a little bit more reserve.

When I fill up, mine shows about 305 miles til empty (I still have the original "hurry up and try and fill me up as slow as you can tank while not looking stupid doing it)
