While that seems like a simple and elegant solution, it also looks like a really bad idea. I doubt it would take folks very long to realize that you're opening your garage door by flashing your lights. I can't believe they're marketing it to gated communities for gate access.

It's not the flashing light that opens the door. It has a rolling-code security transmitter just like a normal opener, but it's triggered by the high beam switch of the car.

I did something similar. Took my keychain GD remote and velcro'd it just underdneath the E-brake handle. Out of the way, doesn't rattle around, removable, and about $.02 for the velcro.
