How many original 05 owners still around?

Just curious as the make-up of this forum has obviously and inevitably changed over the years. I took delivery of mine Nov 26 2004. It now has a little over 106k miles. I've done practically zero mods which is disappointing. New summer wheels several years ago and some front rotors when the oem ones became warped. I'm getting a Nav/Stereo for Christmas so definitely looking forward to that. Perhaps this is the year I start some more fun mods though!

Replaced the rear axle assembly 1.5 years ago as I got tired of the groaning and the dealer said repair would cost at least 1k. Take-off axle assembly only cost me 850 shipped and my time. Otherwise I've had no significant issue with the car(knocking on wood). Have every plan to keep this one forever. Going back through my old posts I noticed that I promised more of these on delivery. 6 years too late but there they are! The new 5.0's are appealing but the lack of a car payment is even more appealing!

Mods I'm still hoping/planning to do:
SHR flush window louvers.
Some type of exhaust.
Lower it an inch or so.
Tuner.
CDC chin spoiler.
Repaint car, and add stripes. Black ones .
CDC Shaker.
Maybe underdrive pulleys.
And maybe some billet interior pieces.

Oh, replace the speakers.

Hope everyone is still enjoying their ride and Merry Christmas!

Got it the day before Thanksgiving 04 , bought it off the truck. I had my last mustang 15 years , sold it about 6 months after getting this one. I'll probably have this one 15 years too ...

I came very close to ordering an 05 Redfire GT, but I decided to wait to order an 06 Tungsten GT with Fanblades. Took delivery on November 4, 2005, and loving every minute/mile of ownership!

Friends, isn't it hard to believe, that the "new, retro, amazing" styling that we love is now 6 almost 7 years old? Time flies! Yet, this says that it is a timeless design, it still looks great today!

Hard to believe! Like the new ones but still love mine. Suppose I could convince myself to get a newer vert if I had the garage space.

Only 8 more years until my daughter and I are over it.

If I would have realized tungsten was coming I probably would have waited. Love my redfire though. Also surprised that the red interior has never grown old on me. I was VERY worried that I would be overwhelmed by it and not like it after a few years. Speaking of; guess I need to add new seats to my upgrade list as I would LOVE to get new red leather with black cross-stitching.

Bought mine off the lot on 4-7-05. Lots of mods, but then I still have my '85 Ranger that I bought new. I will own the Saleen until 3 days after I die. I just keep rebuilding when I get bored.

Yeah, think mine was 26.4k with x-plan. At the time I was lucky to find a delaer willing to honor x-plan pricing.

I've still got the 84 Ranger that I bought in Sept 84! Only about 170,000 miles on it, runs great, and the thing of it is that my Mustang has gotten hit twice (at both ends!), but there is not a single dent on my truck. The paint is not what is once was, but the body is immaculate. Go figure!

I went S197 crazy!! Nov 04 had money down on my 05 Black GT loaded Deluxe with every option and sticker 28k. I got nervous about 2 car payments and I sold it back to the dealer that year for almost what I paid.

Six months later I found an 06 Black Premium with red interior in Maine and bought it. I really wanted grabber orange. I traded my 06 in for an 07 grabber orange. I knew I needed to decide and keep an S197 so I traded 2 cars in for the 07 GT/CS.

06 owner here, took delivery on 12/15/2005 (est) now w/ 72k miles and still going strong! oh yes, will def keep for as long as possible.

note for the first 2.5 yrs of ownership i was averaging close to 25k miles a year (commute to work only) but for the past 2yrs ive been taking the train to work so the miles have drastically eased up on her, otherwise i would easily be over 6 figures by now.

Moved on..

I moved from 2005 GT to 2008 SGT. My wife will soon be replacing her 2006 V6 Pony Package with a 2011 V6 MCA Package, that is on order. So we'll be around TMS for a long time to come.
