A couple of things to consider. Is your dealer getting other Mustangs that were ordered before yours? If so he can tell you how many were in line before yours got put in. His allotment on Mustangs and how many other Mustang orders ahead of yours "yet to build" is the key. The priority # is how soon the dealer is asking the factory to build your (all) cars he has ordered, but remember that all of his cars, trucks, suv's etc.. have priority #'s assigned to them. It really depends on how backed up he is on all his orders, not just Mustang orders. The IUP (18G) and Alarm (global feature) holds got things slowed down also I'm sure. I learned a lot from my dealer while ordering and waiting for mine. He laid it all out on the table for me before during and after. He was impressed how much I already knew from reading on this site too. I would say be nice to them but let them know you expect answers, If they have them.

Ordered mine in the middle of October and got mine on 1/10/05. Hang in there, it is worth the wait. You will feel like a celebrity when you get it, it attracats that much attention.

I have a feeling that Ford wants the old orders to just give up and go away so that they can keep up with new orders.

Probably not true, at least completely, but that is the impression I am getting.

It seems to me that unless the dealer is making a profit, they could really care less about their cutomers' needs. I ordered mine through A-plan and other dealers have told me that is probably why I was given a low priority. A-plan or not, why should I be punished for ordering the car??

I agree with what was said earlier, Ford should of spent more money on production and less on advertising and marketing. Did they really need 4 Super Bowl commercials, each costing something like $2 million? Dealerships should worry more about the number of cars sold and out the door rather than profit.

On top of that, my dealer has an '05 convertible sitting on their showroom floor as well. Interesting that the convertible, which wasn't even unvailed until 2 months after my order, is already in for them....
