Will you be trading in yours for the "next best Mustang"? Or will you be keeping yours for the long haul, rebuilding/painting once it becomes needed?

I'm thinking I will keep mine for at least 5, for financial reasons and just because I love the car. I keep most of my vehicles for the long haul, ie 100k+ miles.

How about you?

I voted for 5 or more. I would sell it and buy an SE such as Boss, Mach-1, etc if they ever came out.

With the retro style this one is a keeper at least 20 years god willing .You never know what tommorrow might bring ....2009 could bring about a more modern change to the car with slanted headlights like the 04 .
I think of this as the 65 to 69 era of mustang for 05-06 at this point and I want to hang on to that for as long as I can

Where's the indecisive option. As much as I love my car and think I'll keep it, add a s/c, etc... the draw of an S/E or maybe even the Sport Trac Adrenalin might be too much. Or maybe not. Who the heck knows!

Since this is my first car I bought, I would love to keep this car forever. Also I want to keep it as long as my loan is for it (5 years). I don't know where I will be in 5 years but ideally, I would still be driving this car.

I am the only one that voted for 3 years...this because I believe Dodge will produce the new Challenger (ETA: 2008/2009) and as I already said I love the way it looks and I am gonna get one when it comes out (if hopefully they will keep more or less the same retro design...if they "chargerize" it, no thanks).
If not for the Challenger, I'd probably keep my GT for ages...

I will be trading for a 2007 GT500 next year. I do have mixed feelings about it.......This is the BEST Modern Mustang I have owned.

Well I will try and hang on to it as long as possible. I will soon be 59 years old and after it is paid for I will be 63. If my health stays good and I'm comfortable driving it I will keep it as long as I can afford to in my retirement years. Limited income, gas prices and insurance will probably force me to sell it then.

At this point I will have to keep her until I die, and then possibly have to be buried in it because I won't be able to afford a casket...LOL

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to get a Mach 1 down the road, or a GT500 or whatever, but for the money this thing was a steal IMO.

There is always something a "little better" down the pipe, I figure if I get ansy with what I have, I will just drop a few bucks into some mods and be done with it!

Good post.

I plan to keep this one for a while. I had my previous '98 Cobra for 7.5 yrs and it was still very nice and fun to drive. Probably another 5+ yrs for this one as well - can't afford to trade up all the time and it makes no sense anyways.

I'll keep mine until there is a rebate on the GT500.(No one thought the terminator would have one in the beginning) A rebate with my employee discount will make the GT500 a sweet deal for me. A hemi 6 speed Challanger could bump the GT out of the garage also. The SRT-8 makes 425 HP naturally aspirated.
