Question How to Grease Zirc Fittings???

Guys--

Do I need a special fitting on my grease gun to grease the Zirc fittings on the suspension?

I tried greasing a few of the bushings the other day but the grease just mushroomed around the fitting instead of going through it and around the bushing.

My rear suspension is getting squeaky w/ the polyurethane bushings and could use some love!

Please help.

Should be a standard zirk fitting. Maybe you are not pushing it on hard enough.

There is a possibility of you having a smaller Zerk head on your LCAs. The outlet on your grease gun is 1/8" NPT and a hardware store will stock both types of ends, so you don't need a new gun or anything. Look at the store for the Zerks to make sure which type you have.

Also, make sure you use Silicone Based Synthetic lubricant for your urethane bushings. To ensure long life, this lubricant restores the plasticizers back to the bushings. I'm surprised no one has marketed lubricant for LCAs with all the aftermarket units out there.
