Ok, so my dealer is finally showing a 2005 Mustang in its inventory on Forddirect.com. Its not mine, but it is one that was built October 14th. Now as of last night it hadn't come in yet. How does the inventory work? I'm hoping that maybe when this car comes in, mine will be on the truck with it.

Is it when the dealer gets the invoice, then its added to the inventory? And about how many days after the invoice is received will the car arrive? I know they got my invoice a loooong time ago.

Simple, it doesn't work! I have not once found forddirect.com to be accurate! B)

 

FORD DIRECT SHOWS CARS IN STOCK OR, ON THE WAY!!!

 

My understanding is the cars on forddirect are added to that database when Ford releases that car to be shipped to the dealer.

 

My car never did show up on www.forddirect.com I ordered it in June, picked it up October 22, and another Black '05 arrived at the dealer on the same truck as mine. Neither of the cars showed up on the website.

 

Forddirect has nailed all 6 '05s that have shown up at the local dealer. It takes a couple days for the car to show up, but it's always been dead on so far.

 

customer ordered cars don`t show up as being in stock. Only cars ordered for stock.

 

If you special ordered a car it will never show on forddirect as being in stock at the dealer because it isn't available for sale. Only the stock orders show up on that system.

Ok, so that means this one thats showing up now is on its way and will be here very soon? (Hopefully, with mine)

 

I sure hope your car arrives soon! Not to be negative or anything but forddirect showed a GT in stock at a local dealer more than 2 weeks before it actually arrived. But then another dealer got a stock unit that never did show up on the website???

With all of the people on here that are finally now getting their cars yours has got to be showing up any day.

Well, the dealer thats right by my house jsut got 3 v6s in the other day. The day before they came they were added to forddirect. I saw two of them parked out front when I drove by tonight. So that one worked pretty quickly.

My dealer, on the other hand, has never had any in stock. The frist two they ordered were for me and another fellow, so they never showed up. The other guy's showed up two weeks ago. This will be their first retail 05 Mustang.

I gotta hope ....
