I thought of a few and wanted to see how far this would go. I thought of this when I saw the aftermarket wishlist.

I will start it off:

1) Make IUP standard on all vehicles. Apparently they got it wrong when they made this optional.

2) Optional fog lights on v6.

3) Optional fog light delete on GT.

4) Optional factory stripes from the airdam to the rear bumper.

5) Removable top or sunroof

Not everyone likes the IUP. Ford just underestimated how many people would want this optoin.

No. 5 won't happen, there hasn't been a sunroof option on a Mustang in 10+ years.

80% of customers are ordering IUP. That tells me they should make it standard. You know the old 80 - 20 rule.

To Ford, just don't advertise what you can't deliver. And continue to highlight a feature in your ad campaign to draw customers while orders for that very feature are being denied.

Hidden radio antenna
Option for heated & cooled seats
Option for HID headlamps
Option for Navigation System
Option for dual zone climate control
Painted rear-view mirrors
Hood with recesses in it, like the 1967 Mustang GT had
Different 17" wheels than the optional machined 17" wheels
Optional 18" wheels & Tires
Option for duck-tail spoiler on GT
Make the GT Driving lights physically smaller
Option for IRS
Better brakes
Telescoping steering wheel
SST shifter on the ATX (manumatic like the Lincoln LS has)
Option for rear window slats (like the 69 & 70s had)

Performance improvements on the 4.6L 3V engine - indications are that it runs out of steam @ 5,500 RPM. Based on the head air flow #'s it should keep producing more power to 6,000 RPM, so whatever is restricting the 4.6 3V needs to be fixed.

----
V6 Sport option package that includes:
Dual exhuast (+15 more HP)
17" wheels & tires
GT suspension
8.8" GT limited slip rear axle.
3.55 rear end gear
Larger brakes from the GT

-----
Mach 1 Model
5.4L - 3V engine - 350 HP / 370 lb ft
Shaker Hood scoop
bigger brakes
Special Mach 1 badging, stripes & interior accents

That is an extensive list. I forgot an antenna built into the rear window. I would have liked to seen a lot of those things on your list, but the car would cost nearly 35K.

My wishlist for Ford on a better car is:

1. a compitent salesperson in my area, that doesn't sit around and think up crazy stories about why my car isn't being built and get me my car.

2. a more efficient production line that can make more cars faster, and hurry up and build mine!

That's why I listed most of my items as optional. They are nice to have if you can afford them, but they should not be forced on all Mustang customers so the entry price can stay reasonable.

I haven't seen a remote fuel door release listed yet. This is one of the few cars I've seen without one.

A standard leather steering wheel in the GT like they said in the sales brochure and original order guide.

I also disagree about making the aluminum trim on the dash standard. I don't care for it.

My car doesn't have one, I pull it open manually.
