How do you confirm your dealer ordered correctly
I have had alot of issues with my dealer and don't trust them to give me correct information. I ordered my car on 6/5 from them and was finally able to get them to give me a VIN yesterday. I had to ask them to give me my deposit back before they would give it to me.
I appears that they did not really order the car in June. It was more like late Sept. How do I confirm that they ordered the correct thing. When I called Ford's 1-800 number they said they could not confirm the options the dealer ordered only that it was a GT and it's build date of 11/8.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
By the way, the VIN number they gave me was 1ZVFT82H255118951.

Which dealer in ATL was it? Sounds like you got screwed around... ask for a fax of the options so that you can confirm. Our dealer asked to send me a fax to make sure he didn't screw it up! Otherwise run over there and ask to look at the order screen.

I've seen my order from the CONCEPTS screen several times.
Does anyone know how long an order sits in "Submitted to plant" status?

Sorry i don't have a better answer for you. I don't think there is any set time it sits there. Basically it is submitted to plant and awaiting scheduling. But they won't schedule it until they are pretty sure they have all the parts. Like if you ordered the IUP, it will take longer to schedule.
I ordered through Team Ford at Northpoint. They have been very difficult to get correct information from. I wrote a letter of complaint to Autonation, who owns them, yesterday.
I did get screwed but my only other option at this point is to start over with another dealer. If they did get my order correct I am better off staying with them. I might actually get a car this year.
The other dealers in Atlanta are not accepting xplan on the cars they have on the floor. You are lucky to get MSRP.
