It's amazing how different people can think of doing similar things to their cars. look at the photoshops and then look at the actual mrt black 05. Notice the 65 style louvres and the choice in wheels. That's kinda cool.

You know, there have been rumors of a 4th installment of the Mad Max series AND Max's V8 Interceptor pictured above + the other Police cars in the original movie were made from Ford Australia's version of the Mustang, if I recall correctly. Could this be a hint to a return of Max with the new Mustang co-starring with him?????
Max's car has always been my favorite Hollywood movie car. Timothy Dalton's Aston Martin in The Living Daylights is up there as well.

I liked Mad Max. One premise that bugged me though; gas was at a premium -- so some guy's running around with a 600hp V8 getting 9 MPG? Come on, they'd all be driving lawnmowers, not bad-hiney American gas-gulpers with blowers. But I digress....

Would it be difficult to remove them from a regular GT?

Looks like they removed the headlight covers/lenses on the Saleen. I like that A LOT! Looks much better!

And I hope they have a new Mad Max with the aussie cars and the 05. That would rock.

It's my work there. All I did was turn up the contrast oaround the headlight bucket, because the plastic lens mhad this horrendous glare. I wonder if it really can be removed on the actual car.

Whoops! I was so concerned with looking at that great looking car, I missed the part where it said the pics were chops!
Fantastic job!
I've noticed that (glare over headlights) in many of the pics we've seen. I think it takes away from the car to hide those lights under a constant glare on the plastic covering.
NEVER been keen on the black painted headlight buckets either. Gives any color car "black eyes", except for the black ones, of course. This is main reason why I have begun seriously considering buying a black one. Would LOVE a Silver or Tungsten(06), but am having trouble getting past the stupid black eyes.

Yep, he had a clutched blower drive, like an A/C Compressor.
Also, the Falcon upon which Max's car was based is a lot more like a Torino clone...a friend of mine restored one that was recently freatured in Car Craft, it's godddammn huge. That thing in real life is a monster of a car, like a '67 Impala. Here is a link to Reed's car:

It's a pretty accurate description of an actual Falcon, albeit modified heavily...it's interesting to note that in the article they mention the car's competing with the Holden's...which we are familiar with today as the new Pontiac GTO...aka Holden Monaro. What an interesting twist of events that brings us back to that rivalry.....

Josh-
I've seen your friends Falcon on TV as well. I think it was My Classic Car . . . but could be mistaken. It is a Bad Azz ride in any event. I bought Car Craft specifically for his Falcon article.
Sorry for Off-Topic.
