Is there any way to adust the hood latch? If I try to shut it normally it wont close all of the way. Does anyone else have to SLAM the hood shut? I ordered the hood struts, but I don't think that will solve the problem.

What do you mean by slam the hood shut ? On my '94 Taurus and this car I was told to drop the hood from about 1', the hood latches every time. You shouldn't press on the hood to close it, you could possibly dent/crack the paint.

Almost every Stang I've owned was like that, and no, I don't know of a fix.

I guess i'll just take it to the dealer and have them look at it. I guess i can't complain if this is my only problem!

I have the same hood closing problem...I've had it right from the first day...I opended the hood and was checking out the engine while the dealer was trying to decide how much to give me for my 2000 Monte Carlo. When they came back, I couldn't get the hood to close...

Long story short, it went to the shop before I even drove it off the lot, they just sprayed it with some WD-40 and said "I guess it's just tough to close! Ha Ha Ha!" and sent me on my merry way.

I hope you have better luck than me trying to get it fixed...

Get this. I installed the C&L intake yesterday. I don't have a problem closing the hood anymore! Maybe it has something to do with the factory air box.
