Sounds like the battery is not taking a charge. I would suspect your battery is shot.

Does it crank over quickly, like it usually does? Or does it crank slowly and weak sounding? If it is weak sounding, try a jump start and see if that helps. If so, your battery is probably in the crapper.

When my car would not start, it ended up being the spark plugs. Cleaned those things up and then the car roared to life like it always did.

i ended up taking the battery out and charging it up again and got it to turn over... everything seemed fine, but then my parking light on the pass side would not shut off or work as a signal... weird, so its at the dealership right now... if that light doesnt shut off im sure the battery will be drained again soon enough.

Ah, never mind my question. Sounds like you have some sort of electrical problem.

Well...what year is your Stang? Is the battery original?...your profile says nothing...need to tell us a little something about yourself and your vehicle...

I vote battery. The smart junction box controls all the electrical systems on the car and it freaks out when the voltage gets low. The first time it did it to me, I thought the car was either possessed, or the ECU had completely fried. Just a low battery!

I had a problem with my car not starting a few months back. Ended up being my starter.

thats what turns the throttle plate on the throttle body when you hit the gas in place of the old wire that used to physically be connected to the pedal.
