98 Mustang GT Hi RPM at start, and when put in park

The title says what's going on with my car as of late. Brought it to my mechanic, he told me this would happen until the engine warmed up. It does this after the engine is up to temp. I'll start up the car and right away to 2K rpm sometimes, sit a min b4 it goes to a normal 700 at idle.

Sometimes the same when I put the car into park after a drive. When I bought the car it had 78mm TB from AM already installed on it. I know my mildly modded car doesn't need this TB. Is this the culprit? Or might it be something else?

Thanks for any feedback.
Chris

Any idea on if it had a tune uploaded? If not, it may require one.. What size motor do you have?

Another idea might be the IAC (idle air control)

Hey there thanks for the reply, Yes, I have been running the 91 octane race tune from my Bama tuner. It's going to the shop in a month to have 3.77's installed, going to have IAC checked also.
