Heated Seats heads up Mpls/StP

A quick heads up to anyone in the area that New Brighton Ford has a special on heated seat installation until the end of the month. They did mine today for $383 which included:

- base and back heaters with carbon fiber technology
- high/off/low switches (looks very good installed on front, outboard corner of plastic trim at the base of the seats. It looks factory.)
- 3 yr/ 36,000 mile warranty
- loaner car for the day

My understanding is that the offer is valid on pretty much any model.

I can't offer a long-term review of the product but so far it's a lot more comfortable than cold leather.

Here are a couple pictures of the driver's side switch (cell phone resolution in the dark, no less).

Outlander, is there any chance you could take some daytime shots? I just wanted to see what the switch looked like. I've been wanting to install heated in mine for a while, and Brighton isn't too far!

I think those are the exact same heaters I have in my 05. And that's where I had them put the switch. Guess my car isn't unique anymore.

Yes they work great. They are on their second winter. No problem. I've even accidently got snow and slush on the switch getting in and out and no problems.

Best part is they stay on till you turn them off. And it's a physical switch so if you have remote start and remember to leave them turned on... toasty seats when you get in.

You're in Corona, CA. You don't need heated anything and up here we pretty much hate you for it.

Nothing personal.

Most dealers simply sublet it out its usually about $400. They are usually franchise outlets for Classic Softtrim(classicsofttrim.com) and there is an outlet in Mpls

Could be at other places, but not the case here. NBF has their own tech that does them that I worked with directly.

It doesn't really matter who does the installation as long as the materials are of good quality and the workmanship is well done. The advantage in this case is that I can take it back to the dealership for any warranty work and get a loaner if needed.

I'm curious to know if they stay on when activated; or if they are timed off after 10 minutes like the factory ones.

They are a good addition, but the price is no bargin. The comfort group from the fact is only $575 MSRP which includes i.) heated seats; ii.) 6-way power passenger seat; and iii.) a compass in the rear view mirror. Admittedly, like Cheese said, the factory heated seats are weak particularly when compared to other non-Mustang vehicles.

These stay on as long as the switch is in the high or low positions.

At $575 the comfort group is a better deal in comparison but for the those of us with pre-'07's it isn't an option.

There are many options that cost less to do from the factory than "aftermarket add-on". The factory 18" wheel/tire package is a steal IMO.

Cold in Detroit today. That plus this thread makes me think some aftermarket seat heaters may be worth looking into.

Most people probably don't know these are available aftermarket. A trim shop with decent marketing would make a killing.
