Extended Warranty??

Extended Warranty??

What happened to the 5/60K mile warranty offered by Ford for the 2007's? Is it still in effect, or did they can that idea? Just wondering because the window stickers on the '07's are still showing 3/36K warranties and no mention of anything else.

5/60 is the powertrain warranty. 3/36 is bumper to bumper...

Ah, I see. Wonder why they don't advertise that on the sticker anywhere, seems to me they would want to put that on there as a selling point!!

The roadside assistance is also extended to 5/60k. For me, notice of the extension was on a black and white card in the owners manual holder. The full color card about what the assistance covers still showed 3/36k.

3/36 BtB + 5/60 powertrain is the minimum anyone will be offering soon. Toyota, Nissan, and Subaru have offered a similar warranty for years, and lately many others have been switching to it, including Honda and Mazda (which through 2006 was 4/50 BtB).

What if my acc belt snaps off and I have S/C, would I still be eligible to call Roadside Assistance? Would they charge me? HAH

The running gear has gotten better across the board compared to the earlier automobiles, and thus warranties can be extended without the makers cutting off their own nose.....
