headlight bulb replacement

i found an older thread on this but im curious if anyones messed with the nok7228 bulbs recently and had good luck? i found a auction on ebay for the nok7228 (arctic white bulbs) and the nok9122 (plug&play stageII wire harness) for 55$. i like the bluish tint look and wanted to try it for myself. was curious on the dangers of using these though cause i dont want to melt my factory bulb sockets...

I've used Silver Star's with good results. Definitely better than stock, but my HIDs were a bigger jump
