On a road course, that thing is going to eat the shelby.

Hell, they could sink another $15k in that and still come up five thou short of the Shelby's "market value."

wide tires

Anybody notice that they put 275/40-18 tires on 8.5" wide rims? Wonder why they didn't just go wider on the rims (since they replaced them anyway)?

hello...

i agree...even though the GT with all these mods might be close or outperform the GT500, it wont have nearly the market value as the GT500.

but if performance if what you are looking for and you will never sell the car and keep it as your project and 2nd or 3rd car, than this is perfect

I think you can watch the Jeremy Clarkson video on Google videos named "The Good The Bad & The Ugly" and figure it out. In the video, he raced a Roush Stage 3 against the GT500, and it wasn't really even close. The Shelby was too nose-heavy and soft compared to the Roush. The Roush was solid on the track when being driven at the limit.

The Edmunds car should be close to a Roush Stage 3 in performance.

Agreed. I actually have spoke to a few people that are running the roush suspension setup and really like it. It is not too aggressive and just is a nice mild drop with slightly firmer dampers as I understand it.

Yes but in all fairness that GT500 was a vert which is heavier and has a softer suspension than the coupe. I think the roush stage 3 would still beat the GT500 coupe though.
