So I am driving to work, like to I do 5 days a week...at the same time...and I am thinking

"Ya know, this time next week, I am going to be car in only several days. And it will be nice, because the 05's still aren't common...so I will get lots of attention."

Well, I pull on to the road where my office is...and I am stopped at a light. And what pulls next to me? a 2005 redfire V6. hmph. I give the guy a thumbs up, and muster up a smile. Well, I pull ahead of him, and get in to the parking garage...and yeah, he pulls in too. We chat, and I ask him how long ago he ordered it.

"Oh, my wife and I were out looking for cars... and found this."

What makes me the most mad, is that I ordered my car 3 months ago...and this tool goes out on a whim and gets his. Sure, its a V6...but still and 05.

So, I don't have the first 05 at my work....but I will have the first GT. GRRRR...I can't wait....

Oh man, that would be depressing.

 

Your time is coming soon and if it makes you feel any better you will get more respect because its a GT. Thats coming from a V6 driver. I hope you get your car soon. You have been waiting a long time and I know it just Blows to see another one and yours is not here yet.

 

Everyone in my office keeps asking me when mine is coming. They say they're seeing more and more mustangs and it makes me sad. I just tell them I will be getting what I want, and that it will be worth the wait. Keep telling yourself that. It works for me.

 

And why exactly is the guy a "tool"?

 

Rick, I totally know how you feel, and I totally know your pain. On the way to pick up my 05 I saw an 05, the only thing that made it better was I could say, "I am going to get mine now!" I wanted to yell it out the window. I wanted to put a sticker on my 99 "Getting an 05, HA"

VW I think Rick called him a tool because he just decided on a whim to buy one, not order it and wait like most of us. It didnt sound like the guy was even a huge Stang fan, just was out and thought "Oh, sure, lets pick one of those up."

 

Yeah that and he has one and I don't. hmph.

 

but you get yours exactly how you want it, right?

 

ummm, you bought the wrong car if you want just because not many else have it.

 

I want to atleast have it while others don't, for a short time.

This is my third mustang...I know it wont be a one of a kind for long.

What is a guy you don't like gets the exact same car as you and then just wants to keep talking to you about it. now THAT would be bad.

 

I have the 1st GT in Longview, WA.....and the 2nd '05 Mustang overall (white V-6), so it is an ATTENTION GETTER no matter where I go. Whenever I park somewhere or get petrol or whatever.....there is always a crowd around it.

 

Just wait for the first guy to get a Mach or a Cobra next year. Now THEN you will be depressed

 

Worse yet - if someone got the same combo as yours or better and then proceeds to tell you how much less he paid than you !!!! :angry:

 

I seriously doubt we will see Machs or Cobras next year....but yeah, i will still love my baby.

This is my first GT. And it will be plenty fast enough for me.

 

I see an average of one to two new mustangs a week now. But no GT's. All I have seen so far are v6's and since Hertz is 4 miles away I'm wondering if it's their cars I'm seeing. B)

 

I have only had 5 Mustang sightings total. And two of those were the same car, but at different times.

 

Pffft...I've been wanting one of these since March and I'm just waiting for somebody at my work to just "happen" to pick one up. Be worse if its someone in my department where everybody knows I want to get one.

 

I know how you feel. I was the same way pissed that I ordered mine so long ago and was waiting while people could just walk onto a lot and drive off with one before I got mine, but out of the few I have seen and the butt loads I have seen on lots for sale, they have been V6s and now that I have mine I am stoked because so far its the only GT I or my friends have seen on the roads so far, and thats a good feeling so hang in there.
